Preparing developers for app migration from

the App Lab to Early Access status.

I often work as a Content Designer across multiple teams, providing support where needed. Sometimes I embed with a single team, as I did in preparation for a big announcement for app developers at Connect, Meta’s showcase event in fall 2024.. Previously, apps could be listed on the official app store, developers had the opportunity to list them on a work in progress site called the App Lab where they could release unfinished apps for free or at a discounted price for early feedback.

In late 2024, the App Lab was deprecated and all apps were moved to the main Store. I educated developers about this change and what they needed to do when the time came to move their app because they could only submit as Early Access one time.
